Stabilization and Assessment
First I’ll want to hear your story, where you’ve been but most importantly where you are now that you want to change. Together, we can begin to understand and uncover the patterns internally and interpersonally that are keeping you stuck. We will aim for less reactivity and numbing and more emotional balance.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
Stage Two
Restructuring
Now that there is safety in our therapeutic relationship, and you have been able to own the patterns of how you shape your world (perceive threat, make meaning, experience emotion, and automatically respond/protect), you will be ready to explore and engage with new options to shift these dynamics. We will always go at your pace and I’ll be with you every step of the way. As new experiences occur in session, old patterns get re-wired and more security in ourselves and with others can be established and translate to outside of session.

Now that you have put in so much hard work, it will be a joy to celebrate your success! We will review how you’ve moved from distress to security so that you can continue to perpetuate this generative cycle you’ve created. I’m here if you need me, but usually clients are ready to graduate from therapy at this point and enjoy better functioning in life and relationships.
